Pakihi | Māori Business Support
As a way to support Māori businesses in the construction and infrastructure industry we offer free support as listed below. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that you have the confidence and readiness to engage in large government contracts. While on one side we work with government agencies to access contract opportunities and advocate on your behalf, we also work directly with your business to build its capability and capacity. Ensuring you have the required capability and capacity to meet government requirements will enhance your chance of successfully securing government contracts.
We are currently building our inhouse suite of business support as listed below. We also have Māori specialists we can connect you with in the areas of insurance, financial bookkeeping and advice, business planning, marketing, health and safety and tender writing.
Tender Submission Support
It can feel overwhelming at times not knowing what information is relevant or important when trying to secure work through a tender process. If you want to provide a submission to an RFT but need support managing the process, pulling together the correct / relevant information and someone to write a concise and well structure response then we can support you with this.
Business Portfolio Sessions
Before you tender for a government contract you should have an established business portfolio. This is a document that holds key information about your business and the delivery of your products or services. It includes a capability statement, broader outcomes, track record of experience, list of resources and licenses/certifications.
Business Mentorship
If you are a business that meets our tender readiness assessment and is looking for a Māori mentor in the construction and infrastructure industry then we want to provide you with this support. Having a mentor provides you with a sounding board and guide for how to manage and overcome challenges but also how to navigate potential opportunities.
